“Mortality”
by A. Magiluna Stormwriter

It seems oddly appropriate somehow, doesn’t it?  A succession of sorts.  A privileged tradition passed on from one generation to the next, continuing the dynasty.

We’re very alike, he and I.  And I’m not just talking about the obvious genetics.  Half a century really doesn’t make a lot of drastic changes in the world, after all.  At least, not back when we were first alive and feeling oh so very mortal.

And lately I’ve been feeling very mortal…and very tired.  I’ve just become too old to play this game anymore.

And so I’ve asked Duncan to take my Quickening.
