“Are you sure you want to do this?”

I sighed. Leave it to Mac to go all “Dad” on me again. Like I couldn’t take care of myself, like I was that punk kid that he and Tessa rescued from the streets. “I’ll be fine, Mac,” I reassured him. “I should’ve known better than make a bet with Amanda.”

“You should’ve known—“

“It was a set-up? Yeah, got that loud and clear now. But I accepted and I lost. It’s one dance. I don’t even have to get naked. How bad can it be?”

“It’s a gay bar, Richie.”
