“Revelations”

“I love you.”

Three little words. Eight letters. Pretty insignificant in the grand scheme of things, hunh? Not for her. Not for me either. God help this poor sonofabitch, but she loves me. She's said it repeatedly during sex, but I just took that as pillow talk, inconsequential.

But now she's said it….and meant it.

That pillow talk crack was outta line. Stupid, Jack. Good thing you didn't say it out loud. She'd kill ya for sure.

Look at her, Jack. She loves you.

I can't deny what she means to me.

Tell her.

“I love you, too, Sam.”

“I love you, too, Sam.”

He's said it. Holy Hannah, he's really said it. And he meant it. I can see it in his eyes that he meant it.

His dark eyes are watching me, gauging my reaction.

Can't he see how much I love him? That man means everything to me. Perhaps more than my career. No, he does mean more than my career. I'd give up the military for him in a heartbeat.

I catch his questioning gaze, lift my fingers to lightly brush his cheek. His smile lights up his face…and mine.

I love this man.
